Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony Tickets For Free (well sort of)
OK, I admit it, the title of the post is a little misleading, but there is some truth in it.
Locog, the Olympic campaign organisers are offering the chance of free tickets to the rehearsal of the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony to people who are willing to spare time to help volunteer in their local community.
The programme is called the ’25th Hour’ and launches officially today, in collaboration with the National Young Volunteers Service. The best volunteers will be rewarded with tickets to the rehearsal of the Olympic opening ceremony.
The rehearsal itself is still pretty special, the event takes place a week before the games and is an invite only affair. All attendees are sworn to secrecy so that they do not reveal what the committee have got planned for the official opening ceremony of the London Olympics 2012, tickets for which may fetch as much as £5k on the black market.
This scheme is one of many volunteer schemes set up to ensure the smooth running of the games as in previous years. Here is a good place to start looking if you are interested in helping to volunteer in the pre game preparations.
Further information about the 25th Hour volunteer scheme and details of how to sign up can be found at www.the25thhour.org

I think this will be very useful information
