London Hotels Near Victoria Station
Looking for a hotel near Victoria?
I thought I would look at a quick review of the hotels near Victoria Station as this is an ideal area to stay in London as it is relatively close to the centre of London and has easy access to Gatwick airport.
For ease of reading I shall list hotels in separate sections as everyone has different budgets when they travel.
Luxury London hotels near Victoria Station
There are plenty of 5 star hotels in London, here is a pick of the best that are located close to Victoria station.
Hotel 41 is the second highest rated hotel in London On Trip Advisor. Admittedly it may not be the cheapest hotel in London, but for a 5 star luxury boutique hotel that is less than 100m from Victoria station it cannot be beaten. Click here for price and availability info for Hotel 41.
Rubens At The Palace is another highly rated luxury hotel situated close to Victoria Station. Along with the Hotel 41, they are both Red Carnation Hotels and are renowned for their luxury and service. Details of availability and pricing can be found here.
The Halkin is the 5th highest rated London hotel on TripAdvisor. Located just off Belgravia Square. It is approximately 300-400 metres from Victoria train station, so a few minutes in a taxi. The hotel is also located close to Knightsbridge and Hyde Park Corner tube stations and close to Buckingham Palace Gardens and Green Park with easy access to the West End and Mayfair. The Goring has been described as a home away from home. The hotel is located at 15 Beeston Place and is less than 200 metres from Victoria station. For further information and reviews of The Goring click here.
51 Buckingham Gate This hotel comes highly rated on TripAdvisor and is part of the Taj Hotel and Suites Chain. The hotel is closer to St. James’ Park Station than Victoria Station itself, but that only makes it easier to get to Green Park and Westminster to see famous sights such as Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and The Houses of Parliament. Cheap London hotels near Victoria Station
These may be cheaper but they also offer very good value for money for those looking for hotels close to Victoria Station. I have restricted this section to 3 and 4 star hotels.
The Grosvenor Hotel, formerly known as the Thistle Victoria is a 4 star hotel located at 101 Buckingham Palace Road and is extremely close to Victoria station itself. It offers good value for a 4 star hotel and is well reviewed on TripAdvisor. Click here for booking information.
Crowne Plaza London St. James Hotel as the name suggests is located close to St. James’ Park tube station. This luxury 4* hotel is ideally located for sightseeing as it is a short distance form Westminster and the Thames. More info here.
Hesperia London Victoria Hotel This Hotel is located south of Victoria Station but still within a 5 to 10 minute walk and offers good value for it’s 4* Rating. The hotel can be booked via laterooms.com here.
Budget hotels near Victoria Station
This section looks at 1 and 2 star hotels near Victoria station. We recommend you read reviews of these hotels on TripAdvisor and hotel booking sites, as expectations can vary a lot.
The 2 star Hotel California is located close to Belgrave Square and appears to be well recommended versus similar priced hotels and hostels in the area by travellers on TripAdvisor and Booking.com. Read more here.
The majority of 1 and 2 star hotels in Victoria tend to be concentrated south of Victoria station, closer to Pimlico tube station.
Of these, The Luna & Simone Hotel, Edward Lear Hotel and Enrico Hotel all come highly recommended for budget travellers.
